Introduction

This Procedure sets out the official process for the acquisition and issuance of a Digital Marine Cargo Insurance Certificate (DMIC) in Kenya. It applies to all imported cargo consignments and is implemented through the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA – ICMS), licensed insurers, the eCitizen Platform, Pesaflow Payment Gateway and the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA).
